Holden is an international singer/songwriter based in Washington
DC, who is inspired to create most of her material in the mystical
mountains of Colorado, where she spends her time writing and skiing
and is collaborating with Frank Mangum on a jazz/funk collaboration, "Project
C". A native of South African, she now has American status and every year travels to Jamaica, where she steeps herself in the magic of reggae music and culture. She performs traditional Southern African and world music with her DC-based band Siya Jika, which recorded the CD, Turn Me Around and is recording her first solo album of reggae inspired rock Bittersweet Rum produced by Marco Delmar at Recording Arts in Fairfax, VA.
